Rain for Happiness
So, here again is the November...the month of November. This time I am outside my country...living in a small city in Canada with my husband. I am enjoying this month while it is raining almost everyday. I love rain, heavy rain. A rain that never stops. A rain that makes the cloud wet, that brings tears to your eyes. And this rain can only be found in Bangladesh, the heart of my life where my soul belongs.
Today, I will tell you a story of rain in Bangladesh. If you ever get yourself caught middle of a traffic in Bangladesh and then suddenly rain starts, never forget to touch raindrops and get yourself all wet. Trust me, it`s that much fun you never experienced in your life! Everything will be washed away by the heavenly raindrops. People will be chanting and laughing. Children will be laughing, even the street side little ones who usually sell flowers to you will come to you with a smile and ask you "afa, ful niben?" meaning sister, will you buy a flower? Isn't it so nice? All your sadness will fly away when you see those tiny birds smiling and dancing in the rain. I can tell you it must be a huge rainfall, not like few rain drops. It will be raining and raining until you smiles.
For a even better experience try to get a rickshaw (yes, this is a 4 wheeled cycle paddled by a man seating in front of your seat)and don't pull the rickshaw hood. When your rickshaw is moving you can see the raindrops falling down on all over you and you can feel the happiness inside you!
If you think you are missing something in your life or if you are not happy with all your money, house and car then visit Bangladesh in rainy season. You will find a way out there for living a happy life. People living there will teach you how to find happiness from small little things. You will learn how to smile even if you don't know the reason! Smile, eat whatever you get and be happy with what you have. Life will take you where happiness lies.
